Created on 2011 by David Mengual, one of the most prolific musicians on the spanish jazz scene, after its first five years keeps on pursuing a single aim: to unify all this music with a single sound, based on collective consciousness and human and musical unity. A band showing the freshness and vitality of a whiff of mint offering a sonic diary full of content, energy, excitement and, above all, lots of music.

Its latest double length album is a collection of songs by David Mengual, Toni Vaquer, Jordi Mestres, Oriol Roca, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and Johann Sebastian Bach. Mystery and opacity to the epic celebration, festive, intimate feel of Impressionism, the last work of David Mengual Free Spirits Big Band “Vertebrats”, is a musical and visual journey of shared sounds.
